Full Moon in Libra and Vishaka Nakshatra + Buddha Jayanti on May 12th at 10:55 AM MT
At the time of the full Moon, there are many transits poised to happen! You’ll feel change in the air and a sense of impending shifts. With the big lunar energy of this full Moon and Buddha Jayanti, orient towards the positive and focus on new beginnings.
Jupiter, Rahu and Ketu are all sandhi, in the gap ready to change signs. Three major transits occur this month causing major life shifts to take place. Sun is also at the edge of his exaltation sign, Aries, ready to leap into Taurus. When a planet is leaving a sign it intensifies its effects, however, it is not strong. Sandhi planets are in the netherworld, neither here nor there. These planets are very spiritually inclined, but not materially focused.
With four planets ready to shift into new signs, you may feel ungrounded in your body and life. Jupiter is the guru and expresses the spiritual body. Rahu and Ketu are shadow nodes that naturally bring confusion, doubt and sudden changes. Sun is the indicator of body and soul and his strength determines your dharmic focus and physical vitality.
Special articles for the major transits of Jupiter, Rahu and Ketu are coming and will be posted here on my blog.
Mars is still debilitated in Cancer until June 6th causing frustrations, delays and slow momentum. This transit is notorious for causing damp heat in the body. Watch for water issues and challenges with all things mother, land, home and property.
Venus continues to be exalted in Pisces and has moved away from the overwhelm of Rahu and Saturn. This helps Venus express itself through abundance, nourishment, love and beauty. Enjoy the support and extra resources provided with this annual transit.
The Libra full Moon on May 12th requests balance, integration and gathering new support and guidance.
The coming cycle instigates the need for balance, harmony and integration in new, more provocative ways. With full Moon in Vishaka nakshatra, the waning cycle promotes gathering increased support and resources so you can receive more balance into your life. Vishaka expresses duality, as it is ruled by two gods- Indra and Agni. Both rely on each other for support, growth, strength and purpose. Indra is the king of the gods, while Agni is the priest. Neither can thrive without the wisdom and resources of the other. This is a reminder that duality must find its common ground, its middle way. Neither polarity exists alone, each must unify and allow for coexisting. Yin and yang create wholeness.
Both Libra and Vishaka are powerful expressions of what is required for harmonious relationship. Release the binaries and find the common ground. Activate the process of relating and connecting. Both sides must reach toward the other in order for connection, communication and co-creation. Vishaka is an important reminder that no one can survive without help, support and guidance from a team and a community. Gather your village and ask for help!
What conflicts are surfacing right now in yourself and in your relationships? How can you find more balance with your inner conflicts? What would balance and harmony feel like in your life and relationships? Where are you noticing the imbalances in your life? Can you find a gentler, more harmonious way? What support and guidance is missing and what you do need for more stability?
This is a powerful time of emptying, releasing and clean up- especially for health, relationships and finances. Seek to re-balance your needs and priorities. Clarify boundaries and expectations. Plug the leaks and strengthen your ability to receive the nourishment you need.
This full Moon is harmonizing as well as celebratory. It is Buddha Jayanti (also called Buddha Purnima), the celebration of Lord Buddhas birthday. May Lord Buddha’s strength in mind and liberation of being ignite within you! Jai Buddha!
Big transits are occurring this month which will shift and change your body and life in the year ahead. Notice what your body is asking for and what you need for more balance.
New Moon in Taurus and Rohini Nakshatra on May 26th at 21:01 MT + Shani Jayanti
Rahu and Ketu have just entered their new signs for the coming eighteen months and are hovering at 0 degrees. This creates instability and uncertainty. Your shadow work has shifted and the body is feeling the change. Notice where Leo and Aquarius are in your chart. What body parts and life themes are asking for your attention in the coming cycle?
Jupiter has also entered Gemini now and has strengthened to over 2 degrees which gives him more grounding and purpose. His year long transit through Gemini will offer increased creativity, expansion with communication and self expression.
Special articles for the major transits of Jupiter, Rahu and Ketu will be posted here on my blog.
The May new Moon arrives on the evening of May 26th. Both Sun and Moon are in sidereal Taurus navigating Rohini nakshatra. Earthy Taurus likes the tangible, and helps the Moon feel rooted- which is why this is the Moon’s exaltation sign. Rohini nakshatra is ruled by the Moon and is lord Brahma’s domain. In the cycle to come, expect growth, expansion and immense creativity. How will you use and channel this creative life force energy?
Lord Brahma is the ruling deity of this notoriously creative constellation. Much manifestation and the ability to bring ideas into form is strengthened and supported within this nakshatra. Brahma’s wife is goddess Saraswati. Here feminine life force power is activated through art, music and wisdom- all resources for creating, manifesting and increasing growth. Both masculine and feminine energies are necessary for the creative process. Though it’s easy to get lost in the physical realms and what is tangible, it is also vital to resource from your depths, your creative intelligence. It is your inner wisdom that supports your creation process.
This waxing cycle demands more self expression and sharing of your gifts, wisdom and creativity. There may be confusion and uncertainty about how to go about this, but take steps regardless. Relationships become both a resource for spiritual resourcing and sudden change and transformation. Stay rooted, grounded and stable within your pelvis and creative energy center. Sensuality and sexuality can be a resource for increasing life force energy, Shakti. Use it intentionally to create, transform, heal and grow. Focus on nourishment, gains and how to increase abundance. Increase life force energy through self expression, sharing your gifts and speaking your truth. Nourishment comes when we align with our highest needs.
What is your heart’s longing, your biggest desire? Take powerful action steps in the coming cycle to birth your visions into form. Notice where you let confusion and uncertainty keep you stuck, overwhelmed and uncertain. Clean up and clear away people, situations and stagnant emotions that are robbing you of the space to create what you want and need. Clear away grief from the gut so that you can step into your power and purpose more fully!
This full Moon also coincides with Shani Jayanti, celebrated birthday of Lord Shani. Saturn is the wisdom that comes with age, the strength of the physical body and bones, as well as the great time keeper. Honor the wisdom and blessings of Saturn on this day for your dharmic path and soul purpose.
