This is an easy process to track your inner landscape.
Over the past decade, I’ve created a very unique process called Embodied Jyotish that integrates Vedic astrology, embodiment, and expressive arts.
I consider my Embodied Jyotish Self Awareness Method to be the most basic self care resource.
It is an identification process. A simple resource that can help you honor what is happening in the “now”.
Once you identify what is happening in your body, you can then create the nourishment you need through proper resources.
The four levels of awareness are:
Mental body
Emotional body
Physical body
Spiritual body
I encourage you to self track daily, hourly, or even moment to moment.
Your self awareness process can then be taken into drawing, movement explorations, journaling or music.
This four level check-in is just the beginning of more exploration and creative expression!
Use this self awareness process to deepen, work with, and transform what is arriving within your inner landscape.
This self awareness method is a simple, yet vital resource for self tracking.
Document your four level check-ins. Use a Journal as a way to track your ongoing, ever changing inner landscape. This journal can be a helpful resource for identifying themes emerging in your healing and transforming process.
How to Use My Embodied Jyotish Self Awareness Method:
1) Whatever you are doing right now, hit the pause button and bring your attention inward. It may help to close your eyes, but this isn’t necessary. You may be sitting, standing or walking, but bring your attention to the now regardless of what is happening around you. Notice your breath and use this as a resource for coming back to the present.
2) Bring awareness to the physical body. This is your Sun and your Jyotish chart as a whole. What sensations are arriving in your body? What is the physical body sharing with you? Be present to images, colors, words, expressions and shapes that arise.
3) Bring awareness to the emotional body. This is your Moon. What is arriving on the level of feelings and emotions within you? What is the emotional body sharing with you? Be present to images, colors, words, expressions and shapes that arise.
4) Bring awareness to the mental body. This is your Mercury. What thoughts, words, stories, ideas, or perceptions are arriving? What is the mental body sharing with you? Be present to images, colors, words, expressions and shapes that arise.
5) Bring awareness to the spiritual body. This is your Sun and Jupiter. This is a very subtle, nuanced place within and around you. Notice how it feels and how it arrives. Be present to images, colors, words, expressions and shapes arriving from the spiritual body.
This harvest is the first step to understanding your Jyotish chart and deepening your relationship with your body wisdom.
Your Jyotish chart is a map of your entire body.
Enter your Jyotish chart through your body.
Where does the Sun live in your body?
Where does the Moon live in your body?
Where does Mercury live in your body?
Where does Jupiter live in your body?
What is your body telling you?
Look at your Jyotish chart. What do you see?
Use your Jyotish chart as a map of your body for deeper inquiry and insights.
This process of body awareness to Jyotish chart awareness creates a feedback loop that will strengthen your intuition, nourishment, and offer powerful clarity for your dharmic path.
