Full Moon in Pisces and Revati Nakshatra on October 6th at 21:47 MT

The tumultuous month of September is now behind us, ushering in a cycle of rest and release. Digestion and integration from the eclipse cycle is still taking place. Pay attention to what you confronted and what is now revealing itself on the other side of Maha Navratri. The sacredness of this time of year continues this month with Diwali and a request to turn inward with Sun and Venus both debilitated. Use October for pause and self care.

The tight conjunction of Ketu and Venus comes to a close on the 8th as Venus slides into debilitation until November 1st. When Venus debilitates, Shakti, life force energy, is at an all time low. Inner waters are slow and trickling. The body dries out easily and is extra sensitive. This is not a time to deplete your life force energy more. Ayurveda offers incredible wisdom for increasing life force energy in the body. This is a good time to get more rest, eat easily digestible foods, do your fall cleanse, and stay warm. Follow your Ayurvedic protocols and be vigilant with your health. Venus symbolizes all things love, beauty, creativity, abundance, travel, vehicles, and vitality. When Venus debilitates, all elements of Venus are extra sensitive, vulnerable and require more conscious awareness.

On the other side of the Venus Ketu conjunction, this debilitated Venus cycle continues to cause challenges with relationships. Relationships are vulnerable and asking for re-evaluation. Many relationships are coming to a close or have already ended. Caution and care are required right now with love matters. The heart is weak and waves of love are small and delicate. Notice who deserves to be in your life.

Mercury and Mars are conjunct in Libra most of the month. These two planets don’t get along very well. Mercury is thinking and mental body, whereas Mars is action. This challenging combination occurs in the sign of balance, notorious for indecision. October brings challenges with communication and self expression. This creates more issues with relationships. Decision making, goals, and action steps may be confused or uncertain. Weigh all your options before taking action, but don’t get paralyzed into doing nothing. Be creative and strive for balance and harmony.

Jupiter is sandhi, moving towards the edge of Gemini. He will jump into his exaltation sign for a brief transit into Cancer before retrograding back into Gemini to complete this year long transit. As he navigates the edge of Gemini for the first part of the month, he strengthens his impact while simultaneously becoming more sensitive. Watch communication and self expression. Get more creative and work with the expressive arts. Notice what Jupiter is teaching you right now. You’ll be re-visiting this theme again in the coming months.

Full Moon in Pisces and Revati Nakshatra on October 6th at 21:47 MT

The full Moon occurs while Moon is transiting Pisces and Revati nakshatra. Moon is at the edge of the zodiac, asking you to find closure, release and create a finale with the last cycle. Attending to grief, loss and hidden emotions are important at this time. Be willing to look at your shadow and lift the stones of illusion keeping you stuck in the darkness. Doors are closing. Are you honoring the process of letting go properly? Are you making space for the new? At the same time immense potential is available. Be intentional with what you are creating.

Revati nakshatra is the last constellation of the zodiac. Its ruling deity, Pushan, helps make travels prosperous and nourishing. He supports the path and allows receiving, abundance, and offers resources for greater support and guidance. As an Aditya, he is a provider of prosperity on the material plane of existence. He helps those that are lost find their purpose and he will redirect you towards your path. He is the shepherd that finds the lost sheep and brings them back to the flock. He protects and nourishes all paths and will help you locate the hidden treasures on your journey. Honor his wisdom and acknowledge his support for your path. Pushan especially likes to be fed easily digestible foods like porridge. Bring some to your altar and ask for his blessings during the full Moon. This is an important time for cleansing the body of previous cycles and clearing away undigested toxins that have accumulated.

Revati nakshatra is a Mrdu constellation- soft, mild and tender. It can be used for auspicious beginnings and ceremonies. As an Aditya (one who brings resources and support) Pushan is known to provide nourishment and he does so through worldly and spiritual resources. He protects your path and will provide support for your journey- whether earthly or astral.

New Moon In Libra and Chitra Nakshatra on October 21st at 05:47 AM MT

Sun shifts to its debilitation sign for one month on the 16th. As he arrives in Libra, a softening of the masculine arrives. This transit often brings discomfort and disappointment from relationships. The masculine will be less available, less assertive, and less present as a result of this transit. Notice your own relationship with your inner masculine. Are you resisting it or allowing it? Expect grief and frustration with men and the masculine over the next month. Physical support and strength are weak. This is not a good time to make big decisions or start new projects. Resources are low and vulnerable.

This debilitated Sun cycle is the lowest point of the year for the Sun and solar energy. Light is weakening in the northern hemisphere and debilitated Sun reminds you to turn inward, slow down, and get extra rest. When Sun debilitates, the physical body is at its most vulnerable. With Venus and Shakti simultaneously debilitated, the physical body needs your attention and care. This is the most important time of year to honor the needs of the body, rest, use rasayanas, strengthen your Ayurvedic protocols, and turn within. Debilitated Sun humbles you, helps you re-prioritize, and increases your spiritual intelligence. Spiritual practices are extra valuable this month. Slow down, close your eyes, and turn inward.

An interesting conjunction of planets occurs in Libra most of the month. Debilitated Sun, Mars and Mercury collide in the sign of integration and balance. Saturn gives his 8th gaze to this combination, offering pressure and a need for structure. Relationship require your attention as does the pelvis. Support and stability are challenged this month. Go low and slow. Seek a new balance moving forward. Less is more.

Jupiter jumps into exaltation on the 17th, his favorite sign of Cancer, for a short and sudden transit that lasts just over a month. This interesting and quick transit will give you a taste of what is to come in the next cycle of Jupiter when he lands in Cancer for one year starting on June 1st of 2026. Consider this a preview of the expansion coming to you through heart, home, land, lungs and mother. Notice where Cancer lives in your chart. This is the body part and area of life that will experience expansion, knowledge and nourishment.

New Moon in Libra and Chitra Nakshatra occurs in the early hours of October 21st.

New Moon is in Libra and Chitra nakshatra, in the midst of Diwali, the Vedic Celebration of lights. During this sacred celebration, the darkness comes to the light. Diwali lasts from October 18th to 23rd, ushering in new awareness, abundance and resources. It is a time of honoring goddess Lakshmi’s nourishing life force energy. Though we may not feel the abundance of light at this time, it is a powerful cycle for turning inward and increasing your inner light. Let your intentions and desires be known. Uncover the shadow and illusions that are keeping you in the dark.

Sun is now debilitated in Libra. It is the lowest point of the year for our light source. The light of the soul is dim and the attention turns inward towards your spiritual and physical body needs. Venus is also debilitated as it transits Virgo. Life force energy is weak and requires gentleness with health, vitality, nourishment and love matters. What are you noticing right now? How are you honoring this vulnerability?

This is a cycle of finding and restoring a sense of balance and equilibrium. Attend to the spine as a resource for increasing your relationship with support and stability. Create, sell, offer and hone your gifts. What do you have to share with the world? Cultivate relationships carefully at this time. Support and strength are low at this time. Get clear and specific about what you need and ask for it directly. Find the resources that can hold you, honor and support your needs. Release and let go of relationships and partnerships that leave you feeling depleted and lifeless. Why are you settling for less than you deserve?

Let this cycle teach you the art of “less is more” and notice how softening and being gentle with yourself is actually a powerful resource for receiving more nourishment and support. Honor and attend to your inner waters diligently. Spend time near water, in water and use water as  a cleansing resources. Sweat, move, dance, and allow your inner waters and emotional body to transform.

Moon in Chitra nakshatra brings the wisdom and support of Vishvakarma and the planet Mars. Action, movement, building, planning and creating are all within his domain. As the celestial architect, he is responsible for creating the blueprint of the stars, bringing it to life through the zodiac. He is an artist, a powerful creator and takes big action steps. Like Brahma he brings ideas and visions into form. As an Aditya, he also provides resources and brings support on the material plane of existence.

What are you creating for yourself? Your life? Your legacy? What action steps are you taking to move you closer to these goals and desires? Get clear on what steps need to happen and start moving in that direction.
